Flexible Solution WAF Security Management Analyst

You will join the “Flexible Solutions teams” operational team that provides day to day operational services using new innovative technologies from our preferred vendors.

The Advanced SOC functions in the Orange Cyberdefense mindset of anticipate – assess – protect – detect – respond, and focuses both on protecting the customer with innovating technologies, as detecting events by pragmatic and down-to-earth security event handling.

For this function, cyber security needs to be your passion, securing customers assets your mission. You will become a trusted advisor for our customers. The solutions you manage are the first line of defense, and you will get the opportunity to present and drive the continuous improvement process on their environment. 

As security is a trade-off between different aspects, you will need to be pragmatic and result driven to get your message delivered, all in the benefit of reducing risk for the customer.

We are currently looking for an engineer with a drive in securing web-applications using Web Application Firewall technologies. 

You will be charged with deploying sites behind the WAF, enforcing a WAF policy on the firewall and manage the protected site through their life-cycle, including detection and handling of security events.

For this function, we need you to:-

• Work structured and controlled on a global perimeter
• Advance our security services to keep on the cutting edge of the security industry.
• Provide guidance in the best practices in terms of WAF configurations and general reverse proxy configurations.
• Analyze security events raised by our tooling and take adequate steps together with the customer’s security department to mitigate them
• Advice customers on risk mitigation
• Interlock with internal customer teams to actively advice and do the best secure implementation
• Periodically report to the customer showing both effectiveness of the program and define the next steps.

Next to this function oriented to Web Application Security, we also expect you to work on security on log security for firewall events.

Why are we talking to you?

• 3 years of experience in similar position of WAF management
• Broad knowledge on IT devices, such as servers, network equipment, workstations, …
• Knowledge on Web Application Firewalls, DNS, and Certificates management is mandatory
• Working knowledge on Akamai via GUI and API (mandatory)
• A passion for cyber security and using new technology to secure customers
• Ability to work in English with excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to be on-call (every 2-3 weeks) to support the service
• Work independently and being in the same team player
• Knowledge on APT, OWASP Top 10, investigation into network packet (PCAP)
• Knowledge of Splunk in term of queries, dashboard is a plus
• Knowledge of scripting (python, php, curl) (mandatory)
• Knowledge Windows - Linux administration (mandatory)
• Knowledge SQL administration is a plus
