Strategic Account Executive
Job Purpose
As our Strategic Account Executive, you are responsible for the overall relationship and growth of one or more of our largest strategic accounts. You orchestrate all activities, based on a Strategic Account Plan you drive.
Internally, you are a Customer Advocate for your Strategic Account and serve the interests of both the customer and Orange Cyberdefense.
The role involves working across all departments with multiple responsibilities and is crucial for the growth of our business.
Within the team setup for a strategic customer, the Strategic Account Executive is the first point of contact for the customer and oversees the relationship with that customer at all levels. The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for developing the relationship from a financial, commercial, technical, operational and strategic perspective. He/She is building and maintaining strong networks at C-level at the strategic accounts.
Key Responsibilities
The Strategic Account Executive manages the customer team for a strategic customer where all members of that team have their responsibility for the five aspects mentioned above.
- Business growth: the Strategic Account Executive develops and drives the ambitious business growth plan encompassing the breadth and depth of OCD solutions & services. He/She is fully accountable for the success of this, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Financial: the Strategic Account Executive monitors the financial agreements made in the contract and ensures correct invoicing and payment, among other things.
- Commercial: The Strategic Account Executive will ensure that offers and commercial arrangements are to the satisfaction of both parties and strives for a maximum customer value from the investment in the products and services provided.
- Technical: the Strategic Account Executive manages the colleagues within the customer team who ensure a technically well-functioning solution. Service and Support are important here and the Strategic Account Executive ensures that timely and adequate reports on technical performance are available.
- Operational: with regard to delivery, implementation, operational changes and other activities, the Strategic Account Executive ensures that the operations colleagues are doing a good job and reports any deviations, disruptions or other operational developments and events that affect the service for the customer.
- Strategic: The Strategic Account Executive understands customer's challenges in several ways. For the customer, these can be both internal and external challenges, but also challenges of a technical, operational or financial nature. The Strategic Account Executive ensures that our service and solutions help the client to better manage those challenges. To this end, the Strategic Account Executive arranges meetings with the customer at strategic level several times a year, or with the stakeholders within customer who are charged with the strategic challenges. The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for aligning our services with the challenges of our customer or positioning them in line with the strategic direction of the customer.
- The Strategic Account Executive is held accountable for financial performance with the customer and for customer satisfaction. Maintaining and further strengthening the relationship with the customer at all levels is a second nature for the Strategic Account Executive. He or she is a valued and mature partner for the customer and demonstrates not only business knowledge but also cyber security knowledge.
- The Strategic Account Manager works structured and according to a Strategic Account Plan which sets business priorities, articulates a clear mutual roadmap, provides a relationship matrix and guides all internal and external stakeholders on the strategic direction with the customer.
Place in the organisation and supervisory requirements
The Strategic Account Executive will have a leading role as an example in the Sales teams, reporting into the Director Sales. The Strategic Account Executive has direct access to the MD and other MT members and is a sparring partner in OCD at all levels. The Strategic Account Executive works with their peers internationally to exchange best practices and is a well-known and highly appreciated member of the international sales community.
Experience, skills & requirements
- You have at least a university or HBO degree
- You have at least 5 years of experience as a Senior Sales Exec or relevant customer facing experience in IT, ICT or Cyber Security on a senior level
- You have more than 3 years of experience in managing cross functional account teams
- You have experience in solutioning, strong proposal writing and customer presentations skills with a focus on demonstrating business relevance
- You have hands on experience with developing strategic customer relationships at C-level
- You are a high-quality performer and encourage your team members to perform equally
- You are a strong communicator and easily convey your message at various levels and to different audiences
- You know what a Strategic Account Plan is and can translate customer strategy into mutual business plans
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit
- You are a team builder and have a strong drive to grow our business
- You gain easily access to the board room and know how to be relevant there
- You do not a have a 9 to 5 mentality and take pride in coaching and growing your team
