Working as a Buyer/Inside Sales Specialist
As a Buyer/Inside Sales specialist you are commercially responsible for a selected group of customers and you support the Account Managers. You are also primarily responsible for the purchasing process towards distributors and vendors.
You initiate the execution of customer orders and ensure the correct administration of these orders. You are the first point of contact and responsible for the purchasing process and processing orders from suppliers, based on their quotes that you have received.
As a Buyer/Inside Sales Specialist, you also ensure timely renewal of expiring contracts with customers. You are responsible for closing won opportunities and deals. You initiate the execution of customer orders and ensure the correct administration of these orders.
You are also responsible for providing the right support to the Account Managers and managing and expanding your own customer base. This includes registering deals, making offers and quotations and answering all kinds of questions from existing and new customers. In addition to being administratively and organizationally strong, you are also very good at communicating.
You are a central link between internal and external parties. As a Buyer/Inside Sales specialist you have the following responsibilities:
- Commercial management of a customer base: maintaining contact, proactively making proposals for expiring contracts and licenses;
- Purchasing resell orders from suppliers and vendors and processing them in AFAS;
- Making calculations in Excel and Salesforce/CPQ with input from quotations from suppliers, commercial discussions with customers and coordination with involved colleagues;
- Assisting Account Managers when they need help and you ask their help when you need it for your calculations;
- Creating upsell and cross-selling opportunities with contract extensions;
- Providing support to both the Account Managers and our customers, you are the point of contact and ensure that the customer is helped properly and quickly;
- Timely start-up and follow-up of renewals;
Why are we talking to you?
- HBO working and thinking level, preferably a completed HBO education in commercial/economics/hotel school or similar;
- Demonstrable experience with Salesforce is an advantage;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel);
- Good oral and written skills, both in Dutch ( essential ) and English;
- Knowledge of AFAS is an advantage;
- You are commercial, accurate, precise and proactive;
