Working as Software Developer  

The ISS development teams are part of Orange Cyberdefense’s Global Operations and are responsible for designing, building and running its mission-critical alerting pipelines and closely related services. We make sure our security analysts have the information they need to respond to incidents in a timely fashion.

As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining ISS systems and services to support cybersecurity operations at Orange Cyberdefense. You will work in an agile environment to build APIs, optimize data stores, and enhance system architectures using strong CI/CD practices. Your expertise in Python, databases, along with your experience in CI/CD, Docker, and a familiarity frontend technologies, will be key to ensuring timely and accurate information for security analysts. Additionally, you will participate in an on-call rotation and have opportunities for professional growth in a hybrid work environment.

 
Key Responsibilities: 

•  Design, implement, test and document bespoke software solutions. These can be web applications, third-party integrations, automation playbooks or secure APIs.
• Maintain the security, confidentiality and integrity of information systems through compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
• Take ownership of problems and proactively resolve technical problems, ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements. Take full accountability for actions taken and decisions made.
• Identify and understand problems, analysing and helping to identify the appropriate solution. Classify and prioritise problems, document their causes and implement remedies.
• Analyse the requirements and create the specification and design of systems to meet defined business needs. Work with business and technology stakeholders to translate business problems into technical designs. Explore different approaches to solving problems.
• Integrate and test components, systems and their interfaces to create operational services.

Why are we talking to you?

• Strong Python knowledge: decorators, generators, asyncio or magic methods do not scare you 
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and Docker
• Experience with at least one of the following Database technologies, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB or Elasticsearch.
• Frontend technologies: Angular or other JS based frameworks like React and Vue.js
• Someone who enjoys working with Linux and knows their way around Git
• Writing tests gives you confidence in your code
• A willingness to work in an on-call rotation
• Full Proficiency in English Language ( Written & Verbal ) 

What makes you stand out

• Experience with RabbitMQ, MongoDB or Kubernetes 
• Proficiency in Dutch Language
