Working as a Bid Manager
Our Sales Teams lead the sale of large and complex opportunities at Orange Cyberdefense in the UK and across a variety of different industries. We work with a lot of clients across many market sectors, as well as working with net new customers in the industry. This is an exciting and vibrant team who bring to bear the best of sales at Orange Cyberdefense within a team that encourages growth and promotion.
This role is to primarily support the presales and sales team throughout the lifecycle of a bid to deliver high quality content that is compliant, responsive, and easy to assimilate and maximises scores at bid evaluation.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and lead bid kick of meetings including presentation, strategy, competitor analysis, solution approach and roles/responsibilities to achieve the win.
- Developing of high-quality professional responses and submissions.
- Create Bid Plan Workbooks in preparation for bid kick-off meetings and manages bid plans.
- Reviewing and analysing customer PQQs, RFIs and RFPs to identify the specific deliverables that need to be included in the bid response.
- Deliver Bid Management best practices across the organisation.
- Supporting the deal governance process.
- Responsible for ensuring content in the Bid Content Library is maintained, working with content owners to ensure the collateral is up to date.
- Facilitate and manage the writing of Executive Summaries with sales and technical colleagues.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of internal tools, systems and processes required to develop quality / approved proposals for customers.
What we expect from you:
- Previous experience as a Bid Manager and must be able to demonstrate a track record of skill development, experience, and success.
- Understanding of the selling process and complex bids.
- Understanding of bid processes, procedures and methodology – Shipley.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
- Strong problem-solving methodologies.
- Previous and proven experience working within virtual teams.
- Self – starting and self-motivating, able to work under pressure, producing work of the highest quality against the tightest deadlines.
