„Being a trainer - I never thought of that when I was still an IT systems administrator apprentice a few years ago. Today, I supervise several trainees and I am passionate about sales, as well as studying alongside my full-time job. With Orange Cyberdefense, I have found an employer that makes all this possible for me.“
Daniela // Sales Manager & Instructor
After graduating from secondary school, it was clear to me that my apprenticeship had to cover both my strengths and my interests. As an open and communicative person, I quickly realized that I would find the perfect career for me by starting an apprenticeship as an IT systems administrator.
Following my three-year apprenticeship, I was then taken on by my educational institution, a German IT security manufacturer, in my preferred department, sales. I was already able to gain my first experience in customer service here.
After a few years, it was time for me to take the next step in my career. Soon afterwards, I found a new challenge at SecureLink Germany (now Orange Cyberdefense Germany), which excited me right from the start. From the extensive managed services portfolio to the product business, there was everything for the “sales heart”! My journey began as an Inside Sales Manager. My tasks included supporting my valued colleagues, but also looking after and expanding my own customer base. After some time, I seized the opportunity and applied internally for the position of Sales Manager. I am now responsible for customers in the “Large National Accounts” area.
We have also been a training center since September 2020. I was able to help shape the training concept right from the start and take responsibility and leadership for the trainees at Orange Cyberdefense Germany. Today, I am a trainer myself, which has expanded my area of responsibility even further. My main goal is to help our trainees successfully complete their training after three years. My tasks range from recruiting (i.e. reviewing applications, conducting interviews and ultimately hiring the apprentices) to supervising the apprentices.
In March 2021, I took another big step and started my part-time degree in business administration and business psychology at the FOM in Munich alongside my full-time job. Here, too, I can rely on Orange Cyberdefense Germany as an employer, which gives me the necessary time frame.
I look to the future with joy and confidence and look forward to the challenges ahead and my further development.
