 „Starting out as an intern, I celebrated my 5th anniversary with the company in 2022. Today, I work as Team Lead in our Cyber Security Operation Center (CyberSOC). Together with my colleagues, I am responsible for analyzing events and log information in order to detect compromises in our customers' IT infrastructures and networks at an early stage.“

In 2010, I began my training as an IT specialist at a local IT service provider. My main task was to advise customers on network security, Windows Enterprise Networks and firewalls. As I was already interested in the topic of cybersecurity at that time, it quickly became clear that I wanted to catch up on my A-levels to deepen my knowledge in this area.

During my subsequent bachelor's degree in computer science, I started an internship at iT-CUBE SYSTEMS (now Orange Cyberdefense Germany) in 2017. As part of this, I was involved in setting up our Cyber Simulation Range training center at Munich Airport's Information Security Hub. I then worked as a student trainee at CyberSOC for another four years. During this time, I spent a semester at the Singapore Institute of Technology and completed my scientific master's degree in IT security at the Ruhr University Bochum.

After my studies, I started working full-time as a cybersecurity analyst and am now responsible for one of our security analysis teams as Team Lead. Our team is responsible for detecting and analyzing potential security incidents. Here we use automated and manual detection techniques to analyze collected information and logs for signs of impending attacks or ongoing incidents.

In addition to my duties as a manager, as Technical Delivery Manager I am responsible for the reliable operation of our Managed Security Services for our customers. I act as the responsible technical contact for the customer's operational contacts, implement new detection rules and continuously evaluate their quality. I also support our internal presales and sales teams in the quotation process for our services.

What I particularly appreciate about my current position at Orange Cyberdefense is the variety of tasks and fields of activity, the spirit and team spirit in our team and the development prospects within the company.
