Ever since I was a child, I had an interest in electrical appliances and wanted to know exactly how they worked, and I took everything apart and put it back together again. During my first IT lessons at the German Studienkolleg, I learned more about how computers and accessories work. I then decided to pursue my thirst for knowledge further and learned the profession of IT clerk.

I worked for several years as an IT specialist and network administrator. My journey into the field of cybersecurity then began with a one-year training course to become an IT security specialist at the CNT Group Frankfurt.

While working, I began studying Business Information Systems in Mainz and graduated with a Bachelor of Honors in Business Information Systems in Edinburgh. There, I also completed a Master's degree in Cybersecurity (M.SC in Advance Security and Digital Forensics), as I now wanted to really immerse myself in the world of IT security.

After some time of professional experience as an IT security consultant, I finally joined Orange Cyberdefense Germany in 2021, initially as a security engineer. After 1.5 years of intensive professional development, I was promoted to Security Consultant. My start at Orange Cyberdefense was particularly easy, as I was given a professional induction and was very well accepted into the team. The team is international and friendly, which makes the work really fun. Thanks to mobile working, I also have the opportunity to work from anywhere.

My areas of work are varied and challenging. Working with my team is exciting and motivating. Our customers are mainly from the banking and finance sector. We carry out the SIEM integration of several cloud service providers (Azure, Google, SAP) with ArcSight for them. To this end, we design and implement risk-based monitoring measures. Weekly updates on the status of the projects are exchanged via jourfix meetings.

As IT is always associated with further training and continuous learning, I have learned other security solutions such as Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel in addition to ArcSight at Orange Cyberdefense so that I can be used in a variety of ways. This makes me ideally equipped to provide competent advice to our customers in future projects.
