Before I joined Orange Cyberdefense Germany, my career had nothing to do with IT security. Even as a little girl, I was fascinated by sales and contact with people. After training as a retail saleswoman and working in this field for a few years, I decided to study textile business management. I then worked for various companies in the field, first in visual merchandising and later as a sales executive in sales.

After the birth of two children, the time had come to reorient myself professionally, as my work in the sales force did not allow me to reconcile work and family life.

I decided to train as an office manager so that I could continue to work in a job where I could use my communication skills and maintain contact with people. Then I came across a job advertisement on Xing for a part-time Office Manager at Orange Cyberdefense Germany. The requirements profile of the advertised position corresponded exactly to my training and my ideas of working in an office. “Perfect job for me!” I thought and applied for the position.

Since January 2021, I've been working in this position part-time, first 20 hours, now 30 hours a week in the head office in Munich. I really enjoy my job. The first few months were challenging and a lot of new things came my way. However, thanks to the great support of my colleagues, I was able to settle in very quickly. In addition to administrative office tasks, I now also take care of fleet management, travel expense reports and all the necessary orders. What I love about my job is the variety of tasks - it's very varied and I've never been bored.

Because I can also work from home if necessary, my current job gives me a good work-life balance. I'm looking forward to the future and the other exciting challenges that lie ahead.
