Growing up in Milan, I initially dreamed of a career in fashion. After earning a degree in Communications with a focus on fashion, I moved to London with the ambition of starting a career in PR or events in this vibrant, fast-paced industry.
After a few years, however, I realized all that glamour wasn’t for me. I took on several roles, which allowed me to reshape my career path and ultimately secure the role of Marketing Manager at SecureData, a leading, independent MSSP, overseeing UK and South Africa marketing plans. Just one year later, SecureData was acquired by Orange Cyberdefense, and I had the privilege of leading the rebranding project for my markets while also being part of the strategic taskforce to establish the new Technology & Marketing division.
Following the acquisition, I was invited to join the Global Marketing Team led by Tatiana Chamis-Brown, where I had the pleasure of working alongside inspiring marketing professionals who encouraged me to work hard, think strategically, and adapt quickly. Since joining Orange Cyberdefense four years ago, I have developed a specialization in delivering research-driven thought leadership content, tailored to a wide audience within cybersecurity, from technical experts to senior leaders.
A major milestone in my career was my recent promotion to team lead. I now manage a small team, guiding our content strategy and mentoring younger professionals. With the added responsibility, I’ve been able to shift some of the operational tasks to our junior team members, allowing me to dive deeper into strategic areas, including customer marketing. Recently, I relaunched a new customer marketing initiative, the CAB, strengthening our relationship with global clients and ensuring we refine our services based on their feedback and direction. I will develop other plans to support local countries to drive customer advocacy, and satisfaction initiatives.
My move to Germany came about when my husband, who is German, accepted a new job here. I feel incredibly fortunate that Orange Cyberdefense supported my transition smoothly—from adapting my contract to setting up my new workspace. Relocating from London to Munich was seamless, allowing me to dive right into work without skipping a beat. I’ve been here for over a year now, and the experience has been enriching, both professionally and personally.
I’m based remotely, but I enjoy visiting the Munich office weekly. It’s a welcoming environment with everything I need to focus, from comfortable workstations to a supportive team. This weekly routine also gives me a chance to practice my German - something I’m excited to improve as I continue building my life here.
Looking back, it’s been an incredible journey of growth, adaptation, and new opportunities. I’m excited to see what the future holds, both in my role and in this new chapter in Germany.
